A trend that has taken off among baby boomers is foregoing malls and shopping centers in favor of online stores. In my busy work as an author, researcher, and humanitarian, as well as a mother, I find that shopping online is an invaluable, convenient tool in saving money and time and in obtaining hard-to-find items. You should give it a try as an alternative or addition to your regular shopping.

I totally agree–online shopping is the cheaper, faster way to do it! Who wants to go through the trouble of finding a parking spot?
What are your favorite shopping sites, guys? I am obsessed with eBay, and I’ve gotten so many deals from Craigslist. Of course with Craigslist you have to go pick up the item in person usually, so it’s not 100% online shopping, but what deals you can get!
Yes, if anyone can recommend some great websites for online shopping I’ll give it a try! I hate paying for shipping and handling though.

My fave is Overstock because shipping is just $2.95 on everything. GREAT bargains too
That’s because boomers are smart!
Cool beans yeah online shopping is great for bargain hunters!
This is so true! My friends and I used to shop all the time together. Now we do that at home and just grab coffee and window shop when we’re out together. After all, who’s going to spend $100 on a sweater they can get for $50 online? It’s just common sense.
Thanks Tina, this is some good information
